ASTM-F136 titanium, despite its extraordinary strength, is 40-45% lighter than 316L surgical steel. This allows even larger and more decorative jewelry to remain exceptionally comfortable to wear.

316L surgical steel remains one of the most popular materials used in piercings. It's durable, corrosion-resistant, and can withstand the rigors of everyday life, including contact with moisture and cosmetics.

Due to its chromium and nickel content , 316L surgical steel is not suitable for individuals with hypersensitivity or allergies. For the same reasons, it should not be used on new piercings.

At our studio, we ONLY use 316L surgical steel jewelry on healed and stable piercings. For procedures, we only use sterile, implant-grade titanium earrings.
