FAQ

It depends on who's asking and what. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, and the timeframes piercers provide are only approximate. There's good news and bad news. Basically, it boils down to this: 1) healing is a process,2) which is influenced by all the factors in the world.Seriously, even your breakfast today and a childhood illness can influence whether your piercing will heal properly. There are a zillion ways to both improve and effectively delay the healing process. The trick is not just to heal the piercing site, but to support your body as a whole. So, if you're sick, have allergies, take medication, are stressed, sleep deprived, tired, drunk on coffee and energy drinks, after last night's party and returning from a business trip, don't count on accelerating tissue regeneration. Things are completely different if you're a picture of health, eat right, take care of yourself and your body, and only see medications in commercials. So, it's very simple: you heal as you take care of your health. If everything is correct and in place, you can aim for the lowest possible time frame.© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Regularly :) The most important thing is to keep it clean. Without it, you could bite your nose. A piercing is a wound and requires early treatment, meaning: clean, gentle, and sensitive. Keep your jewelry looking like new – use saline to clean scabs and dried plasma. Don't move, twist, pick, or scratch. Don't pull or touch unnecessarily, and wash your hands. And just try touching that piercing with dirty claws!© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

We have one golden rule: your piercing should look brand new! And that's 90% of the success rate when it comes to healing any piercing, no matter what kind or where. A messy piercing is a guaranteed disaster. On the day of the procedure, give it a rest—a small scab is all it takes to start healing the hole. But afterward, it should be spotless! So, if you maintain good hygiene, including your hands (or especially your hands), you'll be fine.© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

In short: it has to be clean!Let's start with the fact that you have to be careful not to touch your new piercing (or any other piercing, really) with dirty fingers. You also have to keep an eye on everything else – your friends, your hairdresser, your boobies, and your doggy. And now for the real challenge! You can't let anyone touch your piercing either: your ring, bracelet, glasses, phone, belt, toiletry items, towels, hats, wigs, brushes, headbands, or pillows. Are you a badass?© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Świeży piercing należy czyścić ok. dwa razy dziennie za pomocą soli fizjologicznej. Unikaj nadmiernego czyszczenia, aby nie podrażnić skóry.

Sure, why not? We encourage you to be completely independent and handle your piercings, but...! There are, of course, situations where it's worth leaving the matter in the hands of more professional professionals. If you feel confident in handling it yourself – we're rooting for you, remember to keep your hands clean! However, if you feel like the whole thing is overwhelming, or you're unsure if it's even possible or how to go about it, we're here to help! :)© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Better NOT. Of course, it all depends on the complexity of the disaster. If it's just that you're uncomfortable, something's bothering you, something's irritating you, or you're just plain bored, then fine – disinfect your paws and you're good to go. However, if the "complications" are swelling, discharge, gallons of blood and pus – absolutely not. In extreme cases, the piercing acts as a drain and thus supports fluid drainage. Removing the jewelry can trap bacteria inside, which spells disaster. So if any complications arise – serious or not, contact the studio staff directly.

No, don't soak your new hole in the bath, shower, or sauna. A quick action and you're out. Also, avoid any quality public water (swimming pools, lakes, seas, etc.), which are teeming with bloodthirsty creatures lurking for your new wound. It will hurt, sting, and swell. What good is that?A swimming cap will only make it worse. In the worst case scenario, if you already know that going into the lake only up to your neck didn't work out and your fresh helix just got hit by a splash of duck poop, be sure to disinfect and clean the piercing immediately after getting out!© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

DO NOT cover the pierced area with a tight dressing! To heal, the wound needs access to fresh air. Apply the dressing occasionally and only when your piercing will be exposed to trauma, such as during PE lessons, contact sports, fooling around with kids, etc. Over-sealing the piercing can result in a foul-smelling mess. The only exception is microdermal jewelry.© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

For God's sake, don't move that stud! Don't move it back and forth, don't twist it, don't pull it! You'll only tear your canal! I assure you, a properly inserted, appropriate stud will NOT grow into your body. The ONLY time you actually need to move your jewelry (gently and sensitively!) is when caring for it.Twisting an earring is a rural legend straight out of unspecialized beauty salons. Indeed, if the jewelry is made of shoddy material, tissue will grow into it, and this twisting is supposedly supposed to prevent the earring from being absorbed by your swollen skin. The result is a bloody mess and the tearing out of something that has barely had time to heal. But don't worry, with our uber-duper polished titanium studs, you're completely safe! :)© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

No! A fresh piercing canal closes within minutes! If for some reason you remove or lose an earring, remember that you don't have time to think about it. It's ALWAYS a good idea to have spare jewelry on hand (preferably sterile or at least disinfected).Piercings can be SAFELY removed only after the canal has fully healed and stabilized. But! Not for long. The older the hole, the longer it will remain without jewelry. However, there are piercings that, even after several years of use, can close literally within 24 hours, such as the tongue .Our observations show that a helix that is several years old needs about a month to shrink to the point where inserting jewelry will be very difficult or even impossible.© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Strong coffee and tea (!), energy drinks, anti-inflammatory medications, and aspirin-based medications ( acetylsalicylic acid ) certainly won't support your healing process. They can thin your blood and raise your blood pressure, which in turn can lead to serious bleeding. Alcohol can lead to disaster. It also lowers your immune system and your ability to assess the situation accurately.© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Do you have a decorative spike?Pay absolutely special attention to cleaning all the elements and (!) the spaces between them – for healing to be successful, the jewelry should look as if it's just been taken out of the packaging; besides, dried, several-week-old scabs not only look really bad, but also stink horribly and pose a real risk of infection; The "wet" method works best – removing any remaining debris with a damp cotton swab or gauze is much easier. Using a dry cloth always increases the risk of tearing and unnecessary gouging of the canal.Additionally, it's worth paying attention to the positioning of the piercing itself—some jewelry, if rotated, can compress nearby tissue. We don't want that, as it can cause bruising and infection. Don't be afraid to position your jewelry correctly. For those interested in a deeper analysis of what decorative items you can put in and why not, please read the extensive article on our blog:© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Typically, older holes are already well-healed piercings, so they don't need any special treatment, but there are definitely a few things to consider.pay special attention to the hygiene and condition of your earrings in older piercings - sometimes ears may need more room due to swelling around a new piercing; be sure to remove anything that has seen better days and may be an additional source of fuel for bacterial colonies;using jewelry with "butterfly", "lamb" or other "swirl" clasps is the worst idea you can come up with, even with older piercings - if there is any swelling, they cut into the tissue, causing deep wounds, fistulas and infections, which in turn may affect the healing of nearby holes;before you put earrings into older holes while you still have a fresh piercing next to it, be sure to disinfect the thing you plan to put in - bacteria and dirt present on previously used jewelry will very easily creep into places where they shouldn't;© Paoli (Paula Peszka)

Każde ciało reaguje indywidualnie, dlatego przy wyborze przekłucia uwzględniamy przede wszystkim anatomię, technikę i odpowiednią biżuterię implantacyjnej jakości, żeby zminimalizować nieprzyjemne odczucia i usprawnić gojenie.
